The Wine Wave Shade is a long, elegant bamboo shade structure designed for social flow, conversation, and movement. Its linear form creates a shaded corridor that feels relaxed and inviting, making it especially well suited to food and beverage areas, tastings, communal tables, and walk-through gathering zones.
Built using Flying Shade’s cell system, this structure is composed of 10 cells arranged in a 2 × 5 layout. Each cell measures 17 × 17 feet, forming a shade canopy that gently rises and falls along its length. The resulting roofline creates a subtle wave pattern that softens the space and adds visual rhythm without overwhelming the site.
The open perimeter maintains airflow and visibility, while the extended length naturally guides circulation and encourages people to linger, stroll, and gather.
The overall footprint includes angled bamboo support braces, referred to as kickers, which extend approximately 8 feet outward around the entire perimeter of the shade canopy. This increases the total width and length by 16 feet and should be included when planning site layout, seating, and circulation.
