Forest Flow Shade (51x68)
Forest Flow
10-Cell Structure with Extensive Embellishments
Shade Canopy: approx. 51 ft × 68 ft
Overall Footprint: approx. 67 ft × 84 ft
Immersive shade environment with layered walls and backdrops
Forest Flow is a large-scale bamboo shade structure designed to feel like an environment, not just overhead coverage. Built on the same proven 10-cell canopy scale as our other large gathering layouts, this structure becomes unique through extensive embellishments that add depth, containment, and thematic presence.
Built using Flying Shade’s cell system, the shade canopy is formed from 17 × 17 foot cells arranged to create a broad, breathable roof plane. The embellishments extend the experience downward and outward, adding layered side walls, backdrops, and fabric treatments that help define edges, create visual rhythm, and establish a strong sense of place.
Forest Flow works especially well in wooded settings and natural landscapes where light and shadow already move through the site. The layered fabric elements amplify that effect, shaping pathways, framing moments, and creating pockets for rest, movement, and gathering.
The overall footprint accounts for angled bamboo support braces, referred to as kickers, which extend approximately 8 feet outward around the entire perimeter of the shade canopy. This increases total width and length by 16 feet and should be included in site planning, circulation, and clearances.
