The Extravaganza Shade is a bold, high-capacity bamboo shade structure designed to anchor large gathering spaces such as plazas, food courts, performance zones, and community hubs. Its square, symmetrical form creates a strong sense of place while remaining open, breathable, and easy to navigate.
Built using Flying Shade’s cell system, the Extravaganza Shade is composed of 9 cells arranged in a 3 × 3 configuration. Each cell measures 17 × 17 feet, forming a broad, evenly proportioned canopy that delivers consistent shade coverage across the entire space.
The geometry creates a rhythmic roof plane with subtle peaks and valleys that support airflow and visual interest while keeping guests comfortably protected from the sun. The open perimeter allows the structure to integrate seamlessly into surrounding site layouts and circulation patterns.
