Enchanted Dance Floor (51x68)
Enchanted Dance Floor
10-Cell Structure
Configuration: 3 × 3 core (9 cells) plus 1 backdrop cell (10th cell)
Shade Canopy: approx. 51 ft × 68 ft
Overall Footprint: approx. 67 ft × 84 ft
Large-scale bamboo shade structure with a performer backdrop
The Enchanted Dance Floor is a proven, large-scale bamboo shade structure designed to support movement, music, and collective experience. This configuration features a 3 × 3 core canopy for the crowd, plus a 10th cell positioned as a backdrop cell to frame the performer or focal point of the space.
Built using Flying Shade’s cell system, each cell is a 17 × 17 foot unit of measurement. In this layout, the cells form a clear, legible canopy that delivers broad shade coverage while maintaining an open, breathable environment underneath. The geometry creates gentle peaks and valleys overhead, supporting airflow and visual rhythm while keeping guests comfortably protected from the sun.
The shade canopy dimensions are based on the cell layout itself. The overall footprint accounts for angled bamboo support braces, referred to as kickers, which extend approximately 8 feet outward around the entire perimeter. This increases the total width and length by 16 feet and should be included in site planning, clearance, and circulation.
